Time Flies!

I arrived in D.C. late afternoon on Wednesday, checked into my hotel and rushed to attend the Looney's meeting. It was fun to meet Jillene Moen (my g-ma upline) for the first time.  She's so bubbly and full of enthusiasm for all of her team. I got to go on stage for recognition for my sales and for staying in the Looney League again this year (ordering at least $600/mo for 12 months). It was inspiring to see all the awards given out, and to see some familiar faces!

The Gaylord hotel is beautiful inside and out. It is located in National Harbor, right on the Potomac River.  The pier is lit up each night with lamps that glow in different colors, fading from red to blue, to orange, etc.
The hotel itself is so gigantic, that I'm sure I'm putting on a few miles each day going from our room to the convention center.  Whew!
Thursday morning I attended the morning session where we all got to hear Jeanette talk about the company and how strong it is, even in this economy.  The company is totally debt free. That brought a loud cheer from the crowd.
The company introduced many new products, including EIGHT new colors, and a new how-to-book called MAGIC!!
After the general session we  went to lunch where we were given beautiful bags that had our new Idea Book inside!!!!  You're going to think it's AMAZING!!!  After lunch, I attended Extravaganza.  This is where you get to go to short classes to learn different scrapping and stamping techniques. After each class we were given a brand-new product from the upcoming Idea Book! I'll be coming home with all the new ink pads, a couple of stamp sets, clear cards, new bling and more!

Lots more to come, so I must sign off.  I'll write more later.

Card Swapping Madness!

I fly to Washington D.C. in 6 days for the Close To My Heart convention. One of the great things about convention is card swapping. Sister consultants from all over the country, make cards (among other things) to swap with others. At the last convention I attended in Florida, I brought 10 cards I had made to trade with others. It was so neat to bring home 10 cards made by talented ladies to show to my customers and friends.
While in Orlando, I was surprised to find out that lots of these ladies bring 100 cards or more!  Yikes! This year I decided to make 50. There is some awesome talent out there and I can't wait to show off what I bring home.
I plan to update this blog regularly while I'm in D.C. So check back often to see what's new with CTMH.  I'll even post some sneak peeks of new products etc. for the upcoming Autumn/Winter Idea Book!
